Readin'

All the books I want to read from the library have long hold lists, so I wondered if my friends would know of less popular at the moment, but terribly good books. What book or books would you recommend? Please post a comment or email me under my complete profile. Thanks!

Have you ever read anything by Clyde Edgerton or Lewis Nordan? I'm a fan of both.

I second "The Time Travelers Wife" So good! Also, if your into literary mysteries, read Case Histories by Kate Atkinson. OR if you want to drop the mystery part, read Behind the Scenes at the Museum, also by Kate Atkinson. And two books that were "very big deals" when they came out that I just read this year--Middlesex by Jeffrey Eugenides and Atonement by Ian McEwan--are really really spectacular, but have been around long enough that you shouldn't have to wait for them.
