The other week I ordered a bunch of one-dollar Sublime Stitching patterns from Urban Outfitters, hoorah! And Katie bought a pattern, and I bought Jenny Hart's Stitch-It Kit, which I'd been wanting for a long, long time.
I want to embroider some pillowcases, so today I bought some nice ones in white and lilac from TJ Maxx. Since I'll be giving the cases as presents, I bought high thread counts. Ahhh, silky cotton, and (eventually) hand decorated--fab! Now I just need to wash them so I can get started. . . .

Cool! Can't wait to see the finished product.
Dodger makes a good model . . .
Oh nice! I like the pillowcase idea. I've wanted to do that b/c my great aunt and my grandmother made such lovely pillowcases. And you feel speical sleeping on them.
Jennifer--My parents have an old embroidered pillowcase! It has orange flowers with blue leaves, and I love it. I'm not sure who made it.
Katie--Thanks! Progress reports to come.
Those are going to look so classy!
I've thought about buying the Stitch It kit before, let us know how it goes.
